Thinking about starting a family? Recently started trying to conceive? Or simply want to better understand your fertility before taking the next step?

Minerva Fertility’s new Fertility GP service offers couples a supportive and accessible place to start.

In a dedicated one-hour consultation, Dr Clara Chu, General Practitioner with a special interest in fertility and preconception care, can review your reproductive health, discuss any concerns, arrange appropriate initial fertility investigations for both partners and help you understand what to do next.

Appointments are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients.

Who is the Fertility GP Service for?

The service may be a good starting point if you:

  • Are thinking about starting a family

  • Want pre-pregnancy health and lifestyle advice

  • Have recently started trying to conceive

  • Have questions or early concerns about your fertility

  • Would like to discuss initial fertility investigations

  • Want to better understand ovulation or your menstrual cycle

  • Would like fertility assessment to consider both partners

  • Are unsure whether you need to see a fertility specialist

You don’t need to know exactly what tests you need before you come in. That’s what your consultation is designed to help determine.

Meet Dr Clara Chu

Dr Clara Chu is a General Practitioner with a special interest in fertility and preconception care.

Dr Chu provides dedicated fertility and preconception consultations at Minerva Fertility.

Her role is to provide an accessible first point of care for couples who would like advice, initial assessment and appropriate fertility investigations before determining whether specialist fertility care is required.

Working within Minerva Fertility means Dr Chu can also connect patients directly with the clinic’s fertility specialists when further investigation or specialist management is appropriate.
